Ever since he was a baby, Raviv has always bathed in our tub. At first, he lay on this green Winnie the Pooh-shaped foam while we bathe him.
Then later, we got him a bath seat (which I highly recommend!) while we use a telephone shower to bathe him.
and then once a month, we turn the whirlpool on, let his toys float on the water (whose color turns different)…
…and then afterwards the bubbles would appear, and he’d have his bubble bath!
At first, he loved his bubble bath! Sometimes, his cousin Yoona bathed with him. And even with Yoona around, there was still plenty of space for them and their bathtub toys. But after some time, for some reason, he got tired of his bubble baths.
Worse, he even got scared of the sound of the whirlpool! So we stuck to just the telephone shower routine.
Until one day about a month ago, there was something wrong with our water pipes–the waterflow in our bathroom was so weak. I told Raviv’s nanny (I forgot which nanny was on duty that time) to let Raviv and Yoona bathe in the lawn/garden, and use our batya as bathtub.
When we saw them cramped in the red batya, I told Randy how uncomfortable Raviv must be! From his relatively huge bathtub, to this batya! But Randy pointed out how cute they were–especially because the batya they were using was kinda old, parang old-style daw, parang nasa sobrang rural area 🙂
If I thought that Raviv would have hated his new tub, boy I was wrong! Because, look!
His new tub may be 1/4 smaller and not high-tech, but his bathroom has become 10x bigger! He enjoys this so much that he does not like his bathtub with whirlpool and lights anymore! He now takes a bath on our lawn/garden everyday, that he constantly has that “healthy glow” (euphemism for, umitim na siya!), and we save on water because water runoff from his body serves as our grass pandilig.
Even Randy loves Raviv’s new bathing routine! He told me (and told me to write here–he is breathing down my neck now, literally, as I type this) that one of the best sights he has seen is that of the two babies (Raviv and Yoona) running around the lawn naked–wet and wild!
Tell me what you think!
