Like what I said on my previous post, Raviv’s (Real) First Day at School, I did not want to steal the thunder from my son on his “real” first schoolday. I swear I was very “nanay” that I did not even consider what to wear as I accompany accompanied him to his school. As you might have read from my previous entry, I spent took my time preparing his outfit, bag, and baon. Even though it was also my debut in Raviv’s school, I returned the red dress that I originally picked, because I figured I’d be running after my uber active toddler. Instead, I opted to wear something that was nearly frumpy…good thing that the shirt I ended up wearing has some bling-bling and intricate ribbon and beadwork. Aaaand it was a fiery red orange! So I guess medyo OK pa rin to blog about it, although when I asked Randy to take photos of me wearing it:
Randy: Iba-blog mo ito e sobrang simple?!
Me: Oo, ipapakita ko na willing akong maging simple para kay Raviv!
Here’s my stage-mother-but-won’t-steal-the-thunder-from-her-son outfit on Raviv’s first day at Rainbow School yesterday:
- Red orange blouse from Torso
- Khaki pants from EDC by Esprit
- Mother-of-pearl earrings given by my Mom from her Zamboanga trip
- Chocolate brown wedges from Crocs
- Cath Kidston carry-all box retro flower bag (perfect because I was able to stash my magazines, Raviv’s extra water, and other stuff…it served as a fashionable “diaper bag)
I hope I was able to achieve what I wanted to: ’yung years after this Raviv would think: “I’m proud that my nanay looked lovely on my first day at school, yet does not seem as though she spent more time on herself rather than on me.”
Whaddya think?
