I’m currently watching Bandila, and the news shocked me! Read this news from http://dzmm.abs-cbnnews.com:

Can you believe that?!? I’m not saying that student Jaymee Gonzales’s allegations are hard to believe–what I can’t believe is the dad’s sheer audacity to do such a boorish act (considering that Gonzales’s allegations are true of course)–take note–in the FACULTY ROOM of Colegio San Agustin. Yes, Colegio San Agustin in Dasmarinas Village in Makati City…this didn’t happen in a school that the elite classify as “a school whose students have parents’ have no breeding”. Tsk tsk tsk tsk tsk!
Let’s face it: there are parents who think that their kids are saint incarnates…after all, “Anak ko ‘yan, kilala ko ‘yan! Mabait ‘yan!” Parents, let us remember that the persona our kids project in front of us may probably be a 180-degree turn from the persona he projects behind us. Remember when you started smoking? Didn’t you think you were a genius because you were able to hide all pieces of evidence of your smoking from your parents? Y’know: toothbrush, alcohol, perfume, Lysol, and open windows lang ng katapat niyan!
Most parents probably focus too much on how to bully-proof their children. This is understandable, of course. But we parents should also focus, all the more, on making sure our kids don’t become the bullies. After all, we don’t want our kids to turn up into becoming some kind of a crazed, sociopath megalomaniac, right?
Note to self: Dewmaine, please reread this for when your Raviv turns out to be one of the most popular guys at school.
UPDATE, Sept. 21: I just realized even more how utterly boorish Mr. Bantiles acted! Again, to have a child at gunpoint inside a faculty room?!? Who does he think he is?!? Is this an Ampatuan in the making? I feel a new advocacy brewing. I believe we need to make sure he doesn’t get away with this (again, considering it actually happened)! In the video clip I watched last night, only the child’s grandmother was interviewed, not even his parents. Perhaps his parents are out of the country, he’s an orphan, his parents busy, or his parents are just so angry or scared to talk…I dunno! All I know is that this kid and his family need our support, like how the public supported the battered MMDA officer, Saturnino Fabros. By doing this, we might also save our kids from the worst bullies of all: parents who bully children!
Tell me what you think!
