When Randy asked me to accompany him way, way south of Laguna to look for a new Brain Train UPCAT review venue, I immediately grabbed this opportunity to ask him to go to Liliw afterwards to shop for shoes. And my wonderful husband obliged! We decided to bring Raviv and two of our helpers along with us, for we knew our helpers would also looooove some shoe therapy.
After our ocular inspection of some prospective venues, we had lunch at Exotik Restaurant in Kalayaan, Laguna. To be honest, it was a disappointment. In our early days together, Randy and I have dined there and were satisfied. But these days, it seems that this restaurant needs some serious TLC. Good thing there were still some animals that Raviv loved looking at. And although some parts of the restau needed to be repaired, the structure was still good. We still were able to get good photos, and I asked Randy to take my outfit of the day on the bridge that led to its restroom. Here’s what I wore:
Here’s a collage of the details of my outfit:
Honestly, the knit dress was difficult to pull off, especially because of my lovehandles. Knit is so unforgiving! When I was choosing which photos to post, I had a difficult time because many of the photos show my bulges!!! Reality bites, and it sucks. I can’t help but wince when I realized (for the nth time) that my curves were replaced by bulges! Hindi pa naman ako marunong ng kahit konting Photoshop!
Anyway, I chose to wear flats because as I’ve said, our itinerary included a trip to Liliw for some cheap shoe therapy. So I wore the flats to easily fit shoes. This time, I really told myself I’ll buy the sandals and shoes I love. I really regret that the last time I went to Liliw and bought only to pairs of footwear!
And boy, did I buy to my heart’s content! Here’s a few of my Liliw loot:
I bought two pairs of wedge sandals–each fabulous pair only cost P350-400!!! The beaded thong sandals were only P180!!! Raviv’s multi-colored rubber sandals (which were soft) cost only P150. Aside from these (whose pictures are shown above), I also bought:
- six fabulous indoor slippers–3 pairs for P100
- a pair of thong sandals for my niece Yoona–P100 only; and
- a pair of indoor faux leather slippers for Randy–P80 only.
It was definitely a tiring day for us and my feet ached from all the walking we did. Buuuuut when I got home, one of the first things I did was…walk in front of the mirror wearing my Liliw loot. Yez, including the skyhigh wedge sandals of course! 🙂
Ahhh, nothing can beat shoe therapy! Oh wait–something can–CHEAP shoe therapy! So girls, go go go to Liliw na for that CHEAP shoe therapy you’ve always longed for!
Tell me what you think!
