This was a day I looked forward to for a looooong time. As in. When the date was finalized I told Randy that by hook or by crook, this date is reserved! And I was sure glad I blocked it; otherwise I wouldn’t have met my favorite cyberfriends!
For Em (Akira and Everything Nice), Maqui (Familia Kiki), Maggie (Mommy Maggie’s Musings) and I, this was a repeat for I’ve had playdates with them in the past. It was definitely, definitely nice seeing them and their kids and hubbies again. Actually it seemed like it was already our nth meeting because I didn’t run out of things to tell them.
But I was also glad I finally saw the mommas behind I Am Aimee Diego (Aimee with the fab curls), Glamma Momma (Erl whom I didn’t have the chance to super chika–next time ha!), The Chronicles of Maia (Faye–pareho ata tayo ng blog inspiration title), Kikay Mommy Sha (she was indeed kikay-riffic!) and Days in a Wagon (Pepper who I initially thought was an artista!).
These fabulous moms and I met at the Ayala Triangle. Since I’m a certified probinsyana I didn’t know what to expect. Dang I didn’t even bring Raviv a toy, and our outfits weren’t exactly pam-picnic.
Let’s begin with me.
And here’s a closer look:
- Chloe Edith leather satchel bag (mastic)
- Garterized beaded headband from Girl Shoppe
- Black cocktail ring from Greenhills Shopping Center
- Wooden flower necklace given by a friend years ago
- Dress from ukay
- Wedge sandals from Liliw
- South Sea pearl studs
Sandals pa lang, epic fail na sa picnic. But in fairness, nag-soccer ako even with my Cherifer footwear ha! Bilib nga si Maqui eh, haha!
And now here’s Raviv:
- Polo from Bradley
- Pants from Gingersnaps (shucks, 3rd wardrobe diary entry pa lang repeat performance na agad ang pants ni Raviv!)
- Boots from Chicco
‘Di ba?!? Fail talaga. Naka-tie-tie pa si Raviv e takbuhan naman pala ang pupuntahan!
Anyway, one of the highlights of the day was Dom. Dom is a photographer at Studio 2716. He was Maqui’s surprise to us. As in we got pro photos! So OK na rin pala na umarte kaming mag-ina sa outfit–may photo ops naman pala! Here’s a collage of the fab photos of each fab familia:
While it was our family’s turn for the photoshoot, I heard someone shouting my name at the park. At first I could not believe someone’s calling me because I almost know no one in the area. All the other families were inside Amici. When I turned, it was Fleur!!! I ran to her and hugged her, for the last time I saw her was my wedding pa! FYI, mommy bloggah supahstah Fleur is a longtime friend. We were colleagues at Century Properties Inc. and we worked on the same project. She was also my wedding coordinator. Too bad we didn’t have so much time catching up. When I returned to Amici she went to Kanin Club, and when she returned to Amici we had already left.
Mars kasi, bakit wala kayo ni Gerry! If Gerry (Mars’ hubby) were there, we might have stayed longer because Gerry would have started the dads’ bonding session. Ayun medyo nainip tuloy si Randyboy and he was worried we might get stuck in traffic. Thus we were one of the first ones to leave.
But before we left, another picture-picture!!!
I was truly bitin with the meet-up. Ladies, overnight na next time ha?
Here are Raviv and I signing off 🙂
Tell me what you think!
