One of the things (among sooo many) about Randy that make me feel blessed to be his wife is his take on Valentine’s Day. While many women have to drag their men on dates during V-Day, it is I whom Randy drags. For him, a date with his wife is a must on V-Day. 😉
Because the UPCAT Results were released late this year, February was a very busy time for us. We were rushing our tarps, brochure inserts and website with our almost 1,000 UPCAT passers. We were so busy that I practically forgot to make dinner reservations in hotels in Alabang! I had to do it because Randy let me choose where to go. Sobrang sayang, because on Valentine’s Day Sitti serenaded dinner guests of Bellevue while Kuh Ledesma with Jose Mari Chan and Kris Lawrence serenaded dinner guests of Crimson Hotel. When I called both hotels on February 13, both were fully booked. 🙁
So we just decided to have a Valentine’s lunch at Marriott Hotel at Resorts World, and go to the UP Feb Fair with the whole household in the evening.
And this is what I wore to our date:
I’ve wanted to wear this jumpsuit from Artista Boutique for a loooooong time. I love jumpsuits–they’re sassy and sexy, and chic and classy. And this was the moment! Here’s a closer look at the rest of my outfit ensemble:
- Navy jumpsuit from Artista Boutique (Val and Tin, thank you so much for this! It was love at first sight for me when I saw this jumpsuit!)
- Yellow peep toe shoes with bow from Morgan de Toi (these shoes have been with me for a long time yet I rarely wear them because I want them to last long–this pair is one of my absolute faves!)
- Necklace from a cedera/fiesta tiangge in Lipa City
- Chloe Edith leather bag in mastic
Despite that our lunch date was brief, I was still elated. First, because Randy took time off his uber busy sched to take his wife out on a date. And second, because the food excited me!!! I missed buffets, and the sight of different dishes aplenty was almost enough to satisfy my appetite. Almost, because I really ate. Lafang kung lafang, as they say. After all, it’s not everyday I have a wide array of food prepared by excellent chefs!
My only regret is that I only discovered the dessert bar when I was already full! But no amount of my stomach being full and no amount of my conscience telling me: Huy tama na, ang laki na ng tiyan mo! stopped me from going to the chocolate fountain and in getting a slice of cheesecake from the desserts ref. And you know what? I was glad I did. The brownie I dipped into the chocolate fountain was sinfully delicious!
Randy was just laughing at me over my giddiness. It’s just that days before V-Day, I craved for really delicious sweets.
By the way, I was also given a free Marriott Hotel teddy with a heart.
Before Randy and I left, we asked a hostess to take a photo of us to document our rushed and unprepared Valentine’s date.
Thanks sweetheart for making every Valentine’s special for me. Love love love you so much!
