…Raviv and I played in the rain! T’was a hot Sunday, and we were sweating profusely. But the heaven poured its heart out for this mother and son tandem.
So let’s sing!!!
Ooh, I hear laughter in the rain
Walking hand in hand with the one I love
Ooh, how I love the rainy days
And the happy way I feel inside….
Ladies and gentlemen, that by the way is from Neil Sedaka’s Laughter in the Rain Neil who? THE Neil Sedaka.
I am in San Juan right now and won’t be with Raviv until tomorrow evening. I have been looking forward to this day when I’d just be Dewmaine–not wifey Dew or Mommy Dew but just Dew! But all I can think about is my husband and son.
This Mother’s Day, I dunno whether we could even celebrate. Summer is an awfully busy time for us. But whatever happens, Mother’s Day always makes me smile, for it was just a day before Mother’s Day two years ago when I learned I was carrying Raviv, and it was on Mother’s Day when Randy learned he was going to be a tatay.
Baby Raviv, I know I haven’t been the best mom these past days–what with my busy-ness, short temper and lethargy. But know that Tatay and I love you so so so much! We always find ourselves just looking at you sometimes and wondering what did we do to deserve a baby boy who is as imperfectly perfect as you!
Tell me what you think!
