Y’all know how crazy Raviv is about dinosaurs, right? Therefore going to Dinosaurs [sic] Island was at the top of the list when we went Clark.
But before I proceed any further, may I just blurt out what’s been bugging Randy and me for the longest time? To the owner of Dinosaurs Island, we ask: BAKIT “DINOSAURS” ISLAND?!? It’s supposed to be “DINOSAUR ISLAND”. For what for (sinasadya po ito) ang “S”? I know that proper nouns have immunity from the grammar nazi, but still, I am bothered! FYI, when one puts together two nouns, the first noun is supposed to function as an adjective (as in, pet shop/s, school principal/s, etc.). And adjectives do not have plural forms, right? Do we say, “beautifuls”? Or “uglies”?
Anyhoo, bad grammar or not, going there was a dream come true for Raviv. And because this was a big deal, I made sure he was properly dressed for the occasion. Here he was the day he met his beloved dinosaurs:
- safari-themed shirt from Healthtex
- dinosaur-themed plaid cargo pants from Osh Kosh Genuine Kids
- shoes from Tough Kids
- hat from a stall in Paradizoo
‘Di ba?!? Paleontologist ang peg ni Raviv! I took time the night before to ensure he will be dressed to a tee when he goes to his shangri-la.
Tell me what you think!
