Tuesday last week was no ordinary holiday for me and my favorite blogger friends. We’ve long planned this date for months! So when almost all of us were available, we pushed through right away.
Ging of Forty Weeks and Then Some, Aimee of I Am Aimee Diego, Peachy of She Is Also An Architect, Marsy of Planet Marsy, Faye of Chronicles of Maia, Erlaine of Glamma Momma, Maggie of Mommy Maggie Musings, Sha of Kikay Mommy Sha, Vivian of The Soshal Network and yours truly
Aside from just having brunch, we also surprised our fellow mommy blogger, Aimee. See, Aimee is pregnant (although it doesn’t show! I hate you Aimee!) We wanted to give her a full-blown baby shower but because it’s difficult for us to converge (some live in Antipolo, Cavite, Laguna, etc.), we just decided to bring Aimee’s baby boys presents.
Meet-up place was at the early Bird Breakfast Club at Bonifacio High Street. Food was great. I had pork salpicao. Everything would have been perfect buuuuuuut!!!! Kulang ang rice! Nacacahiya naman to order more because most of my fellow bloggers did not even finish theirs!! And then Sha, who has just come from a business trip in Hong Kong, said:
Alam mo walang mataba sa Hong Kong. Mahihiya ka sa sarili mo kung chubby ka.
That was the statement of the day for me. Tuloy, I was also demure when Maggie brought out her cupcake-style brazo de mercedes that was definitely the food of the day for all of us. I ate only one!
But upon getting home, hindi ako nakatiis. I had someone buy brazo de mercedes from Goldilocks for me. Ahehehehe.
By the way, you’re probably wondering who was or were with me in Taguig, or at least who drove me there.
If you guessed I drove myself there using my new yellow car (wala pa siyang pangalan)….drum rolls please….theeeeen…
You. are. wrong. Hahaha! Randy drove me, and Raviv was with us. But since when we arrived there were no other daddies yet, Randy shied away from us and insisted he and Raviv go somewhere. Sayang, because a few minutes later the other daddies with kiddies arrived.
By the way, here are some snapshots of Raviv when Randy brought him “to the giant playground”, aka Activ Fun:
According to Randy, Raviv had so much fun in the “giant playground”. So much fun that when I met with them at Rack’s, this was how my mag-ama looked like:
Low batt na!
But still, Raviv seemed to havw been energized when we were walking back to our car upon seeing the giant lizard/chameleon or whatever squamate statue this is:
I also requested Randy that we to go to SM Aura. Randy obliged as we haven’t been to SM Aura. However, when parking proved to be difficult and when we realized Raviv would be kawawa if we wake him up (he slept almost as soon as we got in the car), we decided to take a rain check. Instead, we went to Paranaque to buy more fish for Randy’s aquarium. We also got tired walking around a subdivision looking for the best deal. But in the end, Randy was able to buy new fish for his marine aquarium.
It was a tiring day, yet we had smiles on our face when we went to bed that night. I had a date with my friends; Randy had a “date” with his marine friends; and Raviv had a date with his Nanay and his Tatay.
I’m looking forward to our next meet-up…Ano girls, Laguna? Let’s Liliw, Majayjay, Isdaan, Villa Escudero and Nuvali!!! I’ll be more than willing to be your host!
Tell me what you think!
