Raviv loves Randy so much. As in so much and very much. Am I jealous? Not the least. If anything, I honestly, honestly prefer that. My heart sometimes could not contain the happiness I feel when I see how my two boys love each other like crazy.
Ergo, I figured Randy and Raviv would love it if they wore matching clothes! And true enough, they did! Raviv was especially happy and proud how his polo shirt was “Just like Tatay’s!” last Sunday when we had our rare Familia Sundate.
Here were Raviv and Randy on that day:
And here’s Raviv and his outfit-ey:
And here’s a closer look at his outfit details:
- Red polo shirt from Cambridge Classics
- Skinny jeans from Rustan’s Kiddos
- Brown newsboy cap from SM Dept. Store
- Shoes from Florsheim Kids
- Sunnies from SM Dept. Store
So what did we do on that day? First, we went to church. Raviv loves coming with us because our church, Victory, has a special place for toddlers. The toddler’s area has a playplace and toys and a TV where parents/caregivers could watch a live streaming of the pastor’s preaching in the main hall.
After church, we stopped by Nuvali en route to Tagaytay Crosswinds to have lunch. Since we ate at a restaurant near the fish feeding area, no amount of heat from the sun could prevent Raviv from going there. Of course, his Tatay Randy who does not care about keeping Raviv’s complexion fair indulged him.
Photo on the right was taken from inside the restaurant we were dining at…ang init eh, kaya dito ko na pinikchuran!
After our lunch at Nuvali, we proceeded to Tagaytay Crosswinds because there were back-to-back dog shows happening there. In case you have not read my previous posts, Randy and I used to spend our free weekends attending and joining dog shows pre-Raviv. Since dog shows were often done on weekends and since have so many students on weekends (praise the Lord!), we could no longer afford to join. But to Randy’s delight, there was one in Tagaytay on this Sunday that we’re both free! In essence, this was huge because it was Raviv’s first dog show!
Raviv loved going around looking at different dog breeds.
First thing that caught his attention were the poodles being groomed.
When he saw pugs, he said, “Si Ate Beauty Nanay!” If you’re new to my blog, we used to have a pug whose name was Beauty. She was my first baby (“was”, because she died early this year), thus I had Raviv call him “Ate Beauty”.
And of course, he had to run around! Alam n’yo naman ang kalikutan ng batang ‘yan!
But eventually, he got tired and…
But after less than a minute on the grass, back to his normal malikot self. Sigh!
Since he got sweaty and smelly, Yaya Isay told him that he needs to change clothes. Eto ka, ayaw ng Raviv! You know why? Because he wants his outfit to be just like Tatay’s. Payag daw siya kung red polo shirt pa rin ang ipapalit! Hay naku!
Earlier this evening Randy and I were talking about insurances because we have decided to invest in Sun Life Financial. Randy said that I’ll be his beneficiary. He said that that way, I’ll have a luxurious life should he be gone too soon. I hugged him and said that that will never be the case. For one, I love him so much. I’ll be a basket case for years! And even if my love for him wanes, there’s Raviv to think about. I’d be very, very sorry if he won’t be there for Raviv during our son’s formative years. Raviv thinks the world of him…sobrang pagmamahal sa kanya nung bata! Plus, if ever I remarry, I’d always be wary that the stepdad may not love Raviv as much as Randy does. So really, my prayer for tonight and the rest of my nights would be that Randy would always be there for Raviv, and that he’d always make a good role model for our little tyke. That way, being “Just like Tatay” would be Randy’s greatest gift to Raviv. 🙂
Tell me what you think!
