But I couldn’t decide who had more fun, because I was also dizzy finding hidden treasures at the yard sale! Lookie lookie!!!
So many pretty things!!! Kakaasar lang because the salesladies would tell me, “Naku Ma’am, lalo na kahapon! Grabe mas marami pang magaganda talaga! Kaso puro nabili na!”
But as a true blue shopingera, I was undaunted and knew I could still find hidden gems! And I sure did!!! Take a look at some of my yard sale loot:
You wanna know how much they cost? Well, first I wanna tell you that these items look super new. The turquoise floral blouse (Juana) was only P100; the black Marni (yes, Marni!!!) dress was P200, and the mustard pleated dress (Debbie Co) was P250. The I Spy Game for Raviv was P100.
And then ito pa:
These were all from Hindy Weber-Tantoco’s (my new favorite mom!!!) spread. Two of them were from Culte Femme (where Hindy is a designer) and brand new. I posted this on Instagram and lookie:
Kakakilig that she commented!!! I actually loved her spread the most [there were several people who participated on the yard sale; I surmise that most of them were moms of kids who go to Acacia Waldorf (where Hindy’s children also go). A few weeks ago we inquired at Acacia for Raviv–more of that on a different post–and I am seriously considering sending Raviv there. Kaso mo, eto ka: mukhang super yaman ng mga tao dun–I even jokingly (na medyo seriously) told Randy that I should be careful about what I wear when I go to Waldorf, baka ma-recognize ng mga mommy na nabili ko sa yard sale nila yung suot ko! Hehe]
Anywho, actually I still have lots of yardsale finds but I’m already kinda lazy to post them here. Basta andami pa talaga: dresses, pants, swimsuits (with tag pa!), clutch, and books for Raviv.
Randy: Grabe antagal mo! Nag-alisan na yung iba, andun ka pa rin! Iba pala talaga ang level ng pagka-shopingera mo! Hindi normal kahit para sa babae!
After we left, we had lunch at SM Sta. Rosa then went to the city hall to take care of our papers for our business in Sta. Rosa. Ayoko nang pag-usapan ang pagka-corrupt ng mga tao sa gobyerno dito sa blog at baka lalo kaming ipitin. Basta kaka-stress sila. And then we went home.
Tuesday. Very early on Tuesday morning, I was surprised to hear several men’s voices coming from our garden. I heard them talking about dogs. I surmised that Randy met the men while doing his daily early morning dog walks. But later, Randy went up to ask me to download and edit and print a deed of sale. Apparently, the men downstairs were actually there to buy our Nissan Navara pick-up truck. They were just too impressed with Randy’s bull mastiffs that their conversation went to dogs as well (at nagpa-reserve na rin agad ng future puppies nina Khaleesi at Drogo). And can you blame them?!?! Take a look at Drogo, our nine-month old bull mastiff:
…and Dodong’s heart. LOL! Dodong was very sad to see the Navara going away because it was the first car he has ever driven. Dodong learned to drive only when he worked at Brain Train, and he was assigned to drive the Navara most of the time. Thus nag-emote nang todo ang lolo natin.
On Wednesday was Raviv’s first day of school. Of course, he had to be japorms on his first day of classes. Look at what I made him wear:
- Polo: Old Navy
- Pants with suspenders: Mossimo
- Shoes: Florsheim Kids
- Newsboy cap: SM Department Store
- Bag: Cath Kidston (Cath Kids)
And then, Thursday. Eto, kumapit kayo, because this was the biggest news last week…what’s it? Well, someone is pregnant!!! But before you get excited for me, sorry folks, it’s not I. It’s another of our helpers. But what’s more surprising is that it seems so unlikely for her to get preggers–she’s so meek and quiet and dresses so conservatively…I swear, not a minutiae of kalandian in her cells!
Helper: Ma’am, hindi po ako nakapagpa-X ray.Me: Bakit naman?!? (although the pregnancy reason occurred to me, I immediately shelved it away because it was really unlikely for her!)After a few moments of silence.Helper: Kasi…buntis po ako.Me: Ha?!?! (And I stammered as I said) Paano nangyari ‘yun? (Of course I knew she had sex, but I was really grasping for words) Sino’ng nakabuntis sa ‘yo?
Friday came, and more drama ensued. I can’t discuss it here because it’s quite sensitive as it involves some family members and our business. But I am just happy that the person concerned saw his/her mistake right away, got my point, and apologized profusely and had the humility to just ask for our help. That was enough for me. At the end of the day, everything worked out fine. Thank you, Lord!
Sunday was my day off, and I spent it lounging lazily around, then by going to church. Wala na sanang drama if not for Randy’s and my little spat na walang kwenta. Hehe.
Tell me what you think!
