Ang init kasi ‘di ba? LOL!
Of course, you know what I’m saying. Like many people (including non-Pinoys), I felt like Mayweather was cheated. Yep, Mayweather was denied by the judges the humble pie that his malnourished conscience has long been craving for. I’m not saying this simply because I’m a bitter Filipino. I really thought Manny was gonna win. We (I including those who were watching with us on Pay per View at home) were all optimistic that Pacquiao had it in the bag, until the announcer said, “…and still undefeated…” Then the whole world crashed.
Earlier, we were preparing a mini-feast for lunch. We grilled fish, squid, tahong (super sarap!) and liempo. Then I also prepared ensaladang talong at manggang hilaw, and I cooked yang chow fried rice. Nagpa-beer pa si Randy for our boys! We were supposed to eat that while watching, but the fight started earlier than we expected so we ended up delaying lunch (hindi pa luto ang pusit!) and just focusing on the fight. And during the bout I was thinking we’re gonna have a great lunch relishing Pacquiao’s victory. But then ayun nga. Hayst! I really lost appetite eating the food we prepared. Sarap pa naman!
Imagine nawalan ako nang ganang kainin ‘yan!
Of course after that I joined the netizens in expressing my disappointment! There were lots of funneh hirits, but the one I loved the most was a comment on Fashion Pulis:
Favorite ko ‘yung “Lydia de Vega” hirit! Lakas maka-80’s eh! And ramdam ko ang sarcasm n’ya. Hihihi!
By the way, let me share with you some of my conversations with Randy (who spent hours yesterday reading about fearless forecasts and watching analyses) about this fight:
Some days ago…
Spoken like a true fan! ‘Pag gusto, may paraan!
Earlier this morning, after watching the exciting Spurs and Clippers NBA game…
But coincidentally, what Randy was talking about was when this was when we felt Pacquiao was robbed in broad daylight by Bradley…remember that?
Anyway guys and gals, I haven’t been too active here on my online home because as usual, busy! There are just lotsa things to do at Gymboree, and when I’m at home I do lotsa chores (we’re short on help, as our staff is now divided in Sta. Rosa and Los Banos, plus the puppies pa!) and nagpapaka-hands on mom kay Raviv.
Speaking of being a muh-ther…I’m proud to say that my first ever Dubsmash “As an excited mother” seems to be a smashing hit, ahehehehe! I uploaded it medyo late last night on my Facebook Page and Instagram, and it seems marami namang napasaya.
You wanna watch it? Sige na, watch it! Hahaha!
Those who know me “shallowly” are surprised by this video, because I try to exude a classy (char!) persona as a first impression. But my students, my husband, our helpers and my closest friends are used to this side of me. But still before I uploaded it, I showed it to Randy to get a go-signal. Mamaya hiwalayan ako dahil sa kahihiyang dinala ko sa pangalan niya, hahaha! But Randy urged me to upload it, and promised me he won’t be ashamed of me. In fact, he kissed me and told me mas nai-inlove daw siya sa akin because of this. Sabay hagalpak naman ng tawa!
Hay, I really enjoyed giving you guys an update about the mundane details of my life. I’ll try (promise!!!) to blog more, despite that tomorrow officially marks my return to teaching for the UPCAT review (Brain Train Taguig Batch, see you tomorrow!). And because of that, I gotta go now because I have to be up at 4 a.m. tomorrow.
Babush, love you all!
PS: Do watch Raviv’s Dubsmashes, too! Ang cute!
Tell me what you think!
