Nope, not the restaurant, haha. Asa pa. 😉
The past two Fridays, para kaming nagbalik-UP ni Randy. February in UPLB has a lot in store for families.
Last week was the Feb Fair week, and we went there on Friday. Traffic was horrendous. EDSA levelz, ganun. We were supposed to meet the Gymboree teachers there and have dinner together. But because they got caught in worse traffic, we went to the Feb Fair earlier. I realized we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy together anyway because my goodness, daig pa ang Divisoria sa dami ng tao. Raviv was not able to ride any of the rides because of the super long queues.
Buti na lang he was able to this at the Alpha Phi Omega booth:
It took him a long time to hit a balloon, but the APOSS members were so kind and gave him so many chances. After his nth time of “darting”, sa wakas, may tinamaan din. Kinabahan nga lang ako sa premyo, which is indicated inside the balloon he hit.
Josko. Isang premyo lang ang katanggap-tanggap diyan! Kahit couple ring, hindi pa ako ready. At kung condom naman, OMG. Anong klaseng premonition ‘yun!
When we learned what his prize was….
…nakahinga naman ako ng maluwag. So. I guess just like his parents and grandparents, Raviv is also destined to be an Iskolar ng Bayan. Woohoo!!! I plan to keep this blue book and give this to him when he enters The University. 😉
And then yesterday, we attended the UP SAVER Pet Show.
Last year when we entered Drogo, we arrived early. Alam n’yo naman si Randy. We were complete plus Yaya Isay and her baby Bethany plus Yaya Beth pa. It was a very hot day, and there were so many entries. Raviv and Randy handled Drogo (Khaleesi was heavily pregnant then). It took a looooong time before the winner was announced that we left without waiting for the announcement of winners. Only to find out that Drogo won as the Best Canine Species and 1st Runner-up Pet of the Year (he lost to a cat). The prizes were delivered to us, but we felt bad that Raviv and Drogo were not able to go in front to get their awards. Raviv at that time was excited pa naman.
So this year, we did not arrive that early anymore. It was a hot day, and we had to wait for a long time before it was Drogo’s turn to strut. And when it was his turn, so many cheered for him. Randy was even interviewed by the staff and crew of a TV show on Channel 4. I forgot the title of the show but you can watch Randy and Drogo on Channel 4 on Sunday next week at 8 a.m. 🙂
Anyway, here are Raviv and Drogo strutting.
Again, it took a while before the announcement of winners. But this time, we waited patiently. Malay natin swertehin uli, ‘di ba? Moreover, they were picking raffle entries. Natawag na ata ang lahat ng number maliban sa number namin. We were thinking it was an unlucky day, after all.
Finally, the awarding. First award was Best Canine Species. We held our breaths. And then, Drogo’s name was called!!! Woo-hoo!
Raviv, Randy and Drogo
Look at Raviv’s smug facial expression and yabang walk!
Then the other categories were awarded: Best Feline Species, Best Avian Species, Best Aquatic Species, etc. And then finally, the major awards.
The second runner-up Pet of the Year Awardee was a dog.
The first runner-up Pet of the Year Awardee was…another dog!
That means Drogo will be Pet of the Year, ‘di ba?!?
But just like Pia Wurtzbach, hindi muna ako nag-feeling. I wanted to hear the host say that Drogo was really the Pet of the Year.
And he did. This time, I went in front with Raviv and Drogo to receive the award.
We were all overjoyed. Patience is a virtue, and that virtue made us bring these home:
…plus cash prize of P2,500. Raviv says that the money should be used to buy him toys because he handled Drogo. 😛
