One of my most favourite OOTD blogposts is this:
I received lots of compliments when I wore that dress. Ang ganda, di ba? 🙂 Sobrang classy and elegant, to the point na ginaya pa ako ni Dawn Zulueta! Hehe. I distinctly remember that it was love at first sight for me with this dress. I thought it would cost an arm and a leg. But when I checked the price, it was very affordable.
That was the first time I seriously checked out the women’s department of the SM Store (because I prefer buying in boutiques). But certainly not the last. In fact, that was just the beginning. SM Woman always offers a lot of fashionable yet affordable clothes and accessories to satisfy every woman of every size, shape and age!
SM Woman debuts new and improved look in a three-day fashion festival
Think you know what SM Woman is all about? Think again. SM Woman has reached unprecedented heights as a fashion brand that seeks to make stylish clothing more accessible for every woman. From the quality of its materials to the range of sizes it offers, its classic designs to trendy ones, and flattering cuts that ensure a perfect fit every time – the brand spared no expense at redefining an all-new style with a bevy of exciting, fresh offerings. SM Woman now caters to every woman in a way that it never has before – from day to night, every season and every occasion.
Confident, Driven, Exceptional and Strong
Two weeks ago, SM Woman transformed SM Makati’s third floor into one giant runway to showcase its newest lines and collections. Doubling as the launch for the brand’s I Am SM Woman campaign that celebrates womanhood in all its forms, the event puts the focus on SM Woman’s enormous mix of fashion-forward and minimalist pieces and its various lines, offering day to night pieces for every woman. And I was invited to a wonderful evening of Creative Styling, Fashion Shows, and Personalized Shopping Activities.
The Fashion Show
I am myself’s biggest critic. Like, I almost never wear shorts (as a means to porma) because of my thunder thighs and my scar on my knee. And for a long time I didn’t want to wear sandals kasi maugat ang feet ko. Before anyone could comment on my imperfections, nauuna na ako. Aware na ako.
During the fashion show, women of various age groups, sizes and shapes confidently walked on the runway. These were among my favourite ladies (photos lifted from ARC PR’s Facebook Page)
Seeing the models up close & personal made me realize that perfection isn’t the only way to be beautiful. Since I was only a few meters away from them, I could see their imperfections. But instead of getting turned off, I admired these women all the more. In fact, notice that most of the models who wowed me were those who weren’t “classically beautiful”. I truly realized that being beautiful is not limited to having a 25-inch waistline, thin thighs, alabaster complexion, or smooth straight hair.
But despite the fact that I saw supermodels that night, I had only one fangirl moment. I asked to have my photo taken with only one celebrity. Wala nang iba kundi ang pinakasoshal sa lahat!
With Camille “Provinciated” of The Soshal Network. Funny, witty, brainy and beautiful—another true SM Woman!
Shopping galore!
After the fashion show, there was a sale! I was given P3,000 worth of shopping gift cheques. Kebs na kahit naka-super high heels ako at hindi ako sanay sa high heels!!!), basta magsha-shopping ako! At first I had a hard time deciding what to buy, because there were lots of lovely pieces!
Then I remembered that we were going to the beach that weekend. So off I went to Coco Cabana!
Take a look at my shopping loot, all from Coco Cabana!
First, I got this black sundress with ruffles.
Too bad my mannequin is black, so you can’t see the details. But here’s a photo of the bodice up close:
The details are great, right? 🙂 It cost P899. But what cinched the deal is that it was slimming!!! So I never let go of it.
Next, I bought a new swimsuit. Although I already have lots of swimsuits, I figured I needed a new one. My old ones were more suited for my slimmer self eh. Hasta la vista muna sa “hubadera” swimsuits ko. So I got something that’s more conservative. But still slimming, hehe.
This black swimsuit was on sale, from P899 to around P500 na lang.
To make my attire even more conservative (but with a flair of fun and fashion!), I got these cute shorts:
And last but not the least, these pants!
Fun, drawstring canvass pants for P799
I fell in love with this detail!
I am so eager to show you my OOTDs wearing these fantabulous finds from SM Woman!
Thank you SM Woman and ARC Public Relations for this wonderful evening. In all honesty, my eyes were really opened that beauty is multi-faceted, and that beauty is defined by more than vital statistics, skin color, and facial features.
Wow, ganda nga nung outfit mo sa taas. 🙂
Thank you! 🙂 Unfortunately, sikip na siya sa akin. 🙁
Lovely! 🙂 Love the swimsuit and the drawstring canvass with eyelets.

The swimsuit is a steal! SM is really a one-stop shop- ang daming choices. And now they have a lot of brands that cater to different tastes and fashion sense.

It’s really nice to see fashion shows showcasing all kinds of women, so to speak. Nothing of the stereotypical tall, slim and with a pretty face look.

What were the activities on Day 2?
This is a great campaign. I’m always wary of SM (mainly because of the people behind it), but this one is definitely a great one 🙂 Beauty in all forms 🙂
Ooooh, why? What’s with the people behind it? #ChismosaModeOn
