Continued from My Divisoria Finds 2016 Edition Part 1
Hello, hello, hello!!! Sorry it took me a while before posting Part 2—I had another stressful week! Anyway, let’s forget about that and focus on all things bright and beautiful that are my shopping finds in Divisoria. We are still in 168 Mall!
Additional loot from 168 Mall
After my lengthy stay at the everything-a-parlorista-wants store, I came to my senses and remembered the specific things I came to Divisoria for. One of them were the rubber mats that Randy instructed us to hoard. So we went to this huge variety store near the escalator on the 3rd floor. It sells curtains, beddings, Christmas decors, carpets and rubber mats Randy wants. Oh wait, did I say carpet? Yep, you bet I did! There were plenty of carpets of various colours and shapes. When I asked the price, I was surprised that the 1.6 x 2.3 meters carpet only cost P3,500! Although we’ve just recently bought 2 carpets from Our Home, I thought I should give Randy a call because the carpets of the same size we bought were surely not less than P12,000 each!
These were the carpets in 168 Mall, Divisoria:
To be honest, the carpets we got from Our Home were at least 3 times thicker than the carpet in Divisoria. So if you’re after the luxurious feeling, this isn’t for you. It looks decent, though. We decided to get one for our bedroom just for aesthetic purposes, and because Drogo often sleeps on our floor. So pwede na ang Divisoria carpet sa kanya. This was what we got:
1.6 x 2.3 meters carpet at P3,500. Last price at P3,300.
But since that was heavy, we decided to buy it last. Anyway, the store was easy to locate since it’s probably the biggest in 168 Mall.
As we were going around, my eyes caught a glimpse of another item that was on my list:
Air revitalisor! I’m sure you’ve seen this many times, and I’m also sure you know how much a good scented oil in it does wonders to any ambiance. I already have some of these, but kulang pa. I want all of our offices plus our bedroom and living room to have one each. It’s around P2,000 in malls, but it retails for P700 here in 168 Mall. Of course tumawad ako, pumayag nang P600. But if I get at least 3, pwede nang P550. So I got 3 air revitalisors at P550 each.
While I was checking air revitalisors, Dodong saw rubber mats similar to those sold in Store 3 (where we bought the carpet) for the same price—only thicker!
Rubber mats at P100 each. Randy said that it’s P500-700 in hardwares, so he ordered Dodong to buy 20 pieces (minsan kasi nginangatngat ng mga tuta niya!)
Since we can’t go around carrying 20 pieces of rubber mats plus my other purchases, Dodong carried our shopping loot to the van in the parking lot in Tutuban while Cris and I went to the food court. We got food from Lydia’s Lechon for us three.
Eto ha, hindi naman sa pag-iinarte, but I noticed that food in 168 Mall—even from established stalls—is not delicious. I can’t explain it. I remember the first time Randy and I ordered Chinese food from one of the concessionaires, hindi ko makain. Now, I went to Lydia’s Lechon because you can never go wrong with an established lechonan, right? Wrong. Hindi ko pa rin makain. I bought siomai from Siomai Food Haus, hindi ko pa rin bet.
Anyway, it took a while before Dodong returned so when I finished (not) eating, I went around the 3rd floor of 168 Mall, where clothes abound. Here are my new clothes!!!
It was love at first sight for me, and I just had to buy these gypsy-gypsy/boho shirtdress and dress. I forgot how much they cost exactly, but each of them cost more or less P500.
Gypsy/boho-style shirtdress and dress, around P500 each.
Aside from these, I also got this shala blouse from the same store:
Sushal, right?!? I’m so eager to wear this. Donya-donyahan ang dating. I swear susulitin ko ‘to! This sushal blouse blue-gray blouse (with wings, hehe) cost P600.
Of course, I also got my boys some clothes even though they don’t care about clothes. There were lots of factory overruns there (and I regret not buying the awesome denim Forever 21 jumpsuit and more!)
I got Randy this brown Forever 21 jacket, since he no longer has any jacket (he even had to borrow a jacket from Dodong when he attended the Circuit Dog Shows in the previous years where it was always freezing!)
Brown Forever 21 factory overrun jacket for only P500.
From the same store, I got Raviv these acid-washed Forever 21 denim pants and shorts:
Acid-washed denim Forever 21 shorts for boys at P350
Acid-washed denim Forever 21 pants for boys at P350
And speaking of Raviv, guys, I’m sorry but I have to cut this short again. Mommy duty calls. So I guess there’ll be a Part 3, after all. I will feature my other practical finds for the home naman. 🙂 If you want yo brag your Divisoria finds as well, feel free to share them on the Comment box below. I’d love to hear about it! 🙂
