Two days to go before the V-Day. Honestly, I feel like I’m a teenager every February. That’s because Randy always, always wants to make a big deal out of it. He always wants us to go out on a date on Valentine’s, no matter how busy he is. ❤️
Valentine’s Shows and Activities South of Manila
The past weeks, we’ve been looking for special Valentine’s activities in the South. I messaged hotels in Alabang, Sta. Rosa and Tagaytay, asking them what they got so we can reserve. Some of them replied.
Randy and I have had dinner at Vivere probably 10 years ago. We’ve never had staycation there, so I had hoped they would have a great Valentine’s dinner show plus staycation packages. Here’s what the Marketing of Vivere messaged me:

It’s great that they have a Valentine’s show…it’s just that I have no idea who “Joey and the Sax” is. So I’m not too keen. Although I’m still considering this.
Randy and I enjoyed our Valentine’s staycation in Acacia 2 years ago, so I was looking forward to another awesome V-Day stay there this year. Unfortunately, just dinner+overnight stay don’t cut the deal for me—I want a Valentine’s show as well. Like that Side A + Jon Santos show we watched two years ago. Jon Santos’s antics made us laugh so hard, while Side A’s love songs made the atmosphere truly Valentines-y. Plus, the delicious cocktails before the show. It was absolutely perfect!
#HugotPlaylist at Kia Theater
Concerts in big venues are not my cup of tea. I’d rather watch that kind of concert from our home theatre than fall in line for hours and sit in a cramped venue to watch singers perform on a projector screen.
So these are more what I like:
Prom Night with David Pomeranz
I love that there’s a “with dinner” option! But the thing is, The Manila Hotel is already too far. I’m sure traffic would be horrible going to and coming from the venue.
Plus, hindi na ako high school—I’ve already moved on from David Pomeranz and his songs, hehe.
This one is also interesting:
Gary V Love in Motion
But my gosh look at the price—P10,000-P15,000 per head! Yaiks! Hindi ko Kerry Washington!!!
Lunch or dinner at Antonio’s in Tagaytay is also on the table…
…but it seems they have nothing special for Valentine’s Day (I just checked its Facebook Page). Antonio’s is great to begin with and all, but I don’t think there’ll be any difference if we come here on any other day. Kaya bakit pa kami makikipagsiksikan on Feb. 14?
So yeah, I still don’t [didn’t] know what Randy has to do to make me swoon this Valentine’s.
Until yesterday, that is.
Amidst the Jollibee Valentine’s ads that have been the talk of the town, I discovered a BETTER Valentine’s digital commercial. I swear, it’s loads better!!!
Dito ako kinilig nang todo, and I wonder why it never went viral:
My gahd, inulit-ulit ko ‘to! I feel bad that as of now, it only has approximately 95,000 views. Dagdagan natin guys, OK? Ang ganda kaya!
And because I got addicted to this commercial, alam ko na what I want for Valentine’s Day—Babe, book a cozy suite and cook me breakfast, just like the man in the commercial. Tama na ang Jollibee! Just cook fried chicken at home using Minola.
To ensure na maihi ako sa kilig, eto ang checklist habang nagluluto ka:
1. Crooked Grin
4 & 5. Smoldering gaze, with matching pasimpleng striptease
‘Yan lang, solve na solve na ako. Mamimilipit din ako sa kilig, like Ate here:
Then afterwards, buffet uli tayo.
For another moment like this na proud na proud kang i-announce na matakaw ako:
That’d be the perfect Valentine’s date!
