“Suri’s Upbringing Is Paramount to My Work Right Now” – this was Katie Holmes statement during her latest interview. Suri, Katie’s 10-year-old daughter to ex-hubby Tom Cruise, just celebrated her birthday recently. And of course, Katie was there to celebrate with Suri!

She may have portrayed so many acting roles already, however, she admitted that the most fulfilling role for her was becoming a mother to Suri Cruise. Aww! That is so sweet, isn’t it?
The “All We Had” actress also added, “This business is so unstable, and you never really know where you’re going to be … My child is the most important person to me, and her upbringing is paramount to my work right now. It’s very important that I’m present and she has a stable, innocent childhood. I feel so blessed to do what I do, but there’s nothing in the world better than watching your child succeed.”
Holmes confirmed she wanted to pursue acting but added she’s seeking jobs behind the lens as she admitted she also likes to direct. One of the reasons why she decided such is so she can delegate her professional and private lives. “Every day, kids get a little further away from you. That’s a positive thing. They should be becoming more independent, but it’s heartbreaking.” Well, we can all agree with her on this, can’t we?
One lesson she taught us was that every day, kids get a little further away from their parents. Some may think of it as a sad truth, but to Katie, it’s a positive thing. She added, “You want them to stay with you forever, but they’re these amazing beings, and you have to do everything you can to give them what they need — and then they’re going to go. And that’s going to be very, very sad for me.”
That’s alright, Katie, you can do it!
